Elizabethan World
Elizabethan World (EW) is a hack for Dungeon World which is itself a hack of Apocalypse World, and was born from the desire to have a more swashbuckling version of Dungeon World. It is because of EW that Elizabethan Plymouth came into existence—a setting was required to play the game, London had been used too often as a [English] setting for historical games, and the author lives in Plymouth.
That sounds like a great idea, I love swashbuckling and I love Elizabethan intrigue. But here's my stupid question: I have AW but not DW. Can Elizabethan World be played with just AW as a basis? Or does DW contain crucial bits of rules changes?
